Keith Madsen,
An Author with a  Vision

Author's Story Unfolded

fiction that excites

Where I am coming from...

Keith Madsen writes fiction that combines adventure and romance with stories which dare to think the world can be better than it is. In his writing, the characters are real, but at the same time they dare to transcend their reality. Keith believes that fiction, to be truly inspirational, must first acknowledge the hard realities of life. The inspirational aspect comes not from such cold realities, but as they become seeds which lead to the renewal of life and resurrection. Keith writes fiction which combines some of the lyrical description of literary fiction with the plot-driven tensions of a thriller. While the central character in his novels is generally male, strong women also play important roles. You will find yourself really liking the people you meet on the journey!

books that stand out

“A combination of skilled writing and imagination allows Madsen to get into the minds of his characters in Fallen Angels: Stories Inspired by the Urban Homeless. He tells each of their stories in their own unique voice.  Each chapter features one character's inner narrative, but it is interwoven with other characters from other chapters.  Thus, the book becomes a novel, not only a collection of short stories.  Of course, it would be so, after all, the diverse and damaged people of the street are a community!” -Warrene Gill, - MAT, Fuller Theological Seminary

"A beautiful collection of stories featuring a cast of heartbreaking and nuanced characters who inspire empathy for the forgotten, fallen angels Madsen writes about." —Malia M. Ogawa, Copy Editor & Writer

“Searching For Eden is a delightful read and thrilling journey that takes readers on a quest for self-discovery!... At times jarring, other times, intimate, this novel will have you searching for your own Eden.”
—Amy M. Le, Award-winning author of Snow in Vietnam

“Strong elements of loss, sacrifice, and fear are evened out by love, faith, and hope. It has been said that the best novels surprise the reader, and Madsen has done just that many times throughout the story. I highly recommend Searching for Eden.”
—Donna Koros Stramella, Author, Coffee Killed My Mother

“Each chapter presents a different element related to the overall theme… Such logical information could have read like an academic paper, but instead, the author weaves stories and poetry throughout, giving the feeling of a one-on-one talk with a knowledgeable friend. If you are seeking answers related to faith and politics during these divided times, I highly recommend this book.”

-Donna Koros Stramella, author, award-winning journalist, video screenwriter and producer.

“Rev. Madsen delves into topics that would seem to be controversial until you peel back the skin of the fruit. I would challenge you to open your mind and to challenge your thinking by considering the stories and concepts raised in this book… I believe that after you have read this book you may be reassessing some of your opinions and viewpoints. And I believe you will be better for it.”

- Rev. Kenneth E. Curl, Pastor of Community Relations, House of Hope  Fellowship.

“The Sons and Daughters of Toussaint by Keith Madsen is a love story. A love story not only between Isaac and Marie-Noelle but a love story between Haitians and their beloved country…I highly recommend this book; it really gives a lot of insight into the struggles of Haiti and the love and pride that its people have for their country.” – Alyssa and Casey, welovebigbooksandwecannotlie@instagram.com

“Madsen has wonderful powers of description. Both the Haitian and New York settings come alive in this book and provide a strong sense of place. Combine that with the author’s sense of humor, his gift for painting heroes and villains equally well, and his inclusion of a love story of epic proportions and you get a book that is genuinely moving.” - Joyce Yarrow, author, Zahara and the Lost Books of Light

“Keith Madsen is coming in hot with the second edition of The Bridles of Armageddon. This dystopian thriller had me screaming, crying and praying. Read it for yourself to experience this roller-coaster as the political pendulum swings from left to right and back to the center where love prevails.” - Amy M. Le, Award-wining author of Snow in Vietnam

“The novel showcases the inner strength and resilience that humans possess and, ultimately, demonstrates that we have always persevered through adversity. The author skillfully weaves together a narrative that not only resonates with readers but also offers valuable insights into the complexities of the human experience. I love that the book's plot has depth and that the writing style did not disappoint in any way. .”
